Hi Jason,

I like the pics. It sounds like you are having a great time there. I have been pretty busy at work recently, so I just got around to catching up on my blog reading.

Your post from the other day, the one where you said you were rambling, had a lot of good thoughts in it. I read an essay, I guess that is what you would call it, by Marcus Borg last night. It is the first chapter of The Emerging Christian Way.

He said this of the world, "It is the creation of God, and the earth is filled with the glory, the radiant presence, of God. This is true even when it is also a place of great suffering, as it often is. To be unable to see this, or to see it only infrequently, is a kind of blindness." I am glad to hear that your eyes are wide open to the world around you. I pray that God would help me to keep my eyes open to the beauty of His world.

Later, Borg says, "I think we all yearn for a fuller connection to God. Most of us would say that the best moments of our lives have been moments when we have experienced such a connection. And I think we all yearn that the world be a better place - for our sake, for the sake of our children and our children's children, and for the world itself." I feel like your 'moments' are exactly what he is talking about. And your desire to help this woman who is trying to help so many children falls right in there with the desire to see the world becoming a better place.

Keep the posts coming man.

Finally, I apologize to all those who may be disappointed with the lack of comedic value in my post.
